  • LIST OF UNCOLLECTED PASSPORTS FROM JANUARY 2019 TO DECEMBER 2021

    The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control informs the listed Passport Applicants whose e-Passports were applied for between January 2019 and December 2021 to collect them from their selected places of Pick up. Places of collection include Kyambogo Passport Collection Center (former Face Technologies) as well as Gulu, Mbale, and Mbarara Regional offices.
    This should be done as soon as possible. You should ensure that you have your National ID to collect your e-Passport as they will only be issued to the owners themselves.

  • Uganda opens e-Passport Enrollment Centre in Pretoria
    The Directorate of Immigration and Citizenship Control (DCIC) has opened an e-Passport enrollment center at the Uganda High Commission in Pretoria. This center will enroll Ugandans living and working in South Africa and surrounding countries including Botswana, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Swaziland, with the newly introduced East African Community Electronic Passports.

  • DCIC RECEIVES MIDAS EQUIPMENT FROM THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION FOR MIGRATION
    DCIC received various Migration Information and Data Analysis System (MIDAS) equipment from IOM-Uganda. The equipment included servers, passport readers, fingerprint readers, computers, webcams, printers, as well as related licenses. This latest technology will enable eight of Uganda's border posts to collect, store, and analyze traveler information in real-time. Mr. Olivier Baguma from IOM Uganda handed over the equipment to the Director, Maj.Gen. Apollo Kasiita-Gowa as part of the project 'Enhancing Uganda's Border Management Information System'
  • AMERICAN AIR WAR COLLEGE STUDENTS AND STAFF VISIT DCIC
    Students and staff of the American War College in Alabama visited the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control on 23rd/March/2022. The group led by led by Lt. Gen. James B. Hecker, commander and President of Air University, Maxwell Airforce Base-Alabama, the students largely consisting of Senior Officers and a few civilian military staff was on a research visit. They were hosted by the Director, Maj.Gen. Apollo Kasiita-Gowa, and the Commissioner Citizenship and Passport Control, Brig.
