The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control (DCIC) has today Thursday 25th July 2019 held a meeting with representatives from various institutions mostly dealing in short courses such as English proficiency courses. These courses and by extension the institutions are a favorite for foreign students from non-Anglophone countries in the region and beyond. Some of the Institutions present included Kampala Adult School, Institute of Advanced Leadership Uganda, Makland Institute of Business and Management, Sir Nelson School of Languages among others.
The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control (DCIC) has received new Leadership. The new leaders are the Director Maj. Gen Apollo Gowa Kasiita, the Commissioner for Citizenship and Passport Control, Brig. Johnson Namanya and the Commissioner for Immigration Control Col. Geofrey Kambere. Maj. Gen. Gowa has been serving as the Military Attache at the Ugandan Embassy in Washington.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control, would like to inform the general public and our esteemed clients that the official electronic visa application portal for the Republic of Uganda is, www.visas.immigration.go.ug; and also take this opportunity to warn our esteemed clients of the existence of Scam sites which either charge our clients exorbitantly or defraud them totally.
The Republic of Uganda is set to introduce an International East African e-Passport to replace and eventually phase out the current East African and International Machine-Readable Passports. Find more in the attached file.
